BTP selects social projects for funding in 2026
Santos, April 5, 2025 – Brasil Terminal Portuário (BTP) has opened applications to select social projects approved under tax incentive laws. Applications for BTP's 4th Call for Projects Approved under Tax Incentive Laws can be concluded until 31 May and must be submitted via the website: www.btp.com.br.
All private non-profit organisations that are duly registered and have projects approved under the municipal, state or federal tax incentive laws – such as FUMCAD, PRONAC, SPORT, CONDECA, PROMIFAE and PROMICULT - are eligible to apply.
With the notice, BTP aims to identify and support initiatives that are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and develop projects related to the areas of port-city relations, social inclusion, environment, culture, sport and education, sea and oceans and health.
The proposals submitted will be analysed according to various criteria and must be approved by BTP's Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. The results will be announced in the second half of the year, according to the schedule in the company's notice. The initiatives approved in this year's call for proposals will be sponsored by BTP until 2026.
This is the fourth consecutive year that BTP, one of the largest container terminals in South America, has launched a call for funding social projects. Currently, 25 projects receive the company's support through tax incentive laws.
BTP's CEO, Claudio Oliveira, emphasizes that funding social projects through tax incentives is just one of the company's initiatives to strengthen the port-city relationship. ‘We strive to operate a port terminal of excellence that not only promotes national infrastructure development but also adds value to our region through essential projects for communities near the terminal," he states.
This consistent social impact has left a positive legacy in the Baixada Santista region. This year alone, BTP has already delivered to Santos’s city the first polyclinic in Vila Gilda and the new Rádio Clube Community Centre, as well as acquiring a building in the Historic Centre of Santos that will be used as the container terminal's new administrative headquarters. The company will also contribute to the second phase of Parque Valongo, by restoring the structure and roofing of Warehouse 3 and paving its surroundings.
